Capital Gains Tax

Why this Seminar?

The Government recently reintroduced Capital Gains Tax (CGT) effective 1st January 2015 since its suspension in 1985. The introduction of the tax places legal obligations on various persons to administer and account for the tax to KRA. Since this is a self-assessment tax, the tax payers or their agents are required on their own to understand the intricacies of the workings of the tax and comply.
Since noncompliance leads to huge penalties and interest which can be potentially damaging financially, it is imperative that every person dealing with this tax clearly understands the calculation, tax point, legal obligations imposed by law and administration of the tax.
